a thousand things i wish i could say

a thousand things i wish i could say is a meditation on grief, faith, and the fragile work of healing. born from the loss of my best friend in 2020, the series moves through the shifting currents of denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.

at her graveside, i spoke into silence until my voice dissolved. that silence became a mirror—holding my doubts about God, my anger at meaning itself, and my search for beauty in absence. each image is a fragment of that conversation, where faith and despair blur into the language of light and shadow.

this work does not offer resolution. instead, it opens grief as a shared space—where absence lingers, yet also reshapes us. grief binds us to what we’ve lost, but also to one another—in the quiet recognition that we are never alone in carrying it.
